This page explains how to have the information FlashTeks holds about you deleted. Two different connections are covered, so start with the one that applies to you:
When you send a message to a salon's Facebook Page that uses FlashTeks, we receive and store:
We do not read your Facebook profile, your posts, or any conversation you have with anyone other than the salon's Page.
Conversations and messages are deleted automatically once they pass the salon's retention period, which is 90 days unless the salon has set a different one. This runs every day; you do not need to ask for it.
Appointment records are kept separately, as part of the salon's own business records. Those are covered by the request below.
Contact us and ask for your data to be deleted. Please tell us:
FlashTeks Technologies Inc
Email: info@kenyton.com
301 14 St NW, Unit 420 Room 1
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Phone: 587-998-9798
We confirm the request within 30 days and delete the data we hold about you, other than records we are required to keep by law — for example, records of a completed payment.
Do not send sensitive data (such as card numbers) when you contact us.
You can also stop the connection from your side, at Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, by removing FlashTeks.
Please note that this stops any further data reaching us, but it does not by itself erase what the salon already has — deleting the conversation on Facebook does not delete the salon's copy of a booking you made. Use the request above for that.
This section covers Facebook only. To remove an Instagram connection, see section 5 below.
This section is for salon owners who connected an Instagram account to FlashTeks — either in the FlashTeks website editor so their Instagram posts would appear on their own website, or so the FlashTeks assistant answers customers who message that account. For either connection we hold your Instagram user ID, your username, the access token you granted us, its expiry date, and the time of the last synchronisation or verification. For the assistant, we also hold the conversations customers had with it, which are deleted automatically after the retention period (90 days unless you set a different one). Any one of the three methods below removes the connection and everything held under it.
If the connection is for your website gallery:
If the connection is for the assistant answering your customers, it was set up for you by FlashTeks staff: ask us (Method 3) and we disconnect it the same working day.
The stored token, user ID and username are deleted from our database straight away. Posts already published to your website stay on your own pages until you edit or remove that section; ask us and we will take it down for you.
You can withdraw the permission from Instagram's side at any time, without signing in to our tool. Go to instagram.com/accounts/manage_access and remove FlashTeks. The token we hold stops working at once, so we can no longer read anything from your account, and our scheduled job then deletes the stored record — the token, your Instagram user ID and your username. If you would rather not wait for it, use Method 1 or Method 3 and it goes immediately.
Email info@kenyton.com with your website address and Instagram handle. We confirm within 30 days and delete what we hold, usually the same working day.
