FlashTeks Technologies Inc. ("Flashteks," "we," "our," "us") respects your privacy.
We may collect:
Flashteks does not store, process, or transmit full credit card numbers or security codes. Card details are entered on pages hosted by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”), and are encrypted and managed by Stripe under its own security and privacy standards (PCI DSS). See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
In addition to Stripe, payment processing may be handled by partner merchant service providers that Flashteks integrates with. Each such provider processes and stores card data under its own privacy policy and security standards; Flashteks receives from them only the same limited transaction data described below.
Stripe is used for two kinds of payments:
From either kind of payment Flashteks receives only limited transaction data, such as:
This information is used for receipts, reporting and record-keeping.
Card on file. A merchant may choose to save a payment card with Flashteks for future plan renewals and Marketplace purchases. The card is entered and stored by Stripe; Flashteks keeps only a Stripe reference token together with the card brand, last four digits and expiry date so the card can be identified. A card on file is charged only when the merchant confirms a purchase from their account or for a subscription the merchant has chosen. The merchant can remove the card at any time from Store Settings, and Flashteks emails the account owner whenever a card is added, replaced or removed.
Card-present payments taken at a merchant’s point of sale with a payment terminal are processed by the merchant’s own terminal provider or a partner merchant service provider; Flashteks records only the amount, status and reference returned for the transaction.
We use information to:
We may share necessary information with:
We do not sell personal data.
Some FlashTeks features connect to a merchant's own Facebook or Instagram account. Each connection is optional, is started by the merchant, and is described separately below because the information involved is different.
When a merchant enables the FlashTeks assistant on their Facebook Page and a customer messages that Page, we receive and store:
We do not read a customer's Facebook profile, their posts, or any conversation they have with anyone other than that Page. Conversations are deleted automatically once they pass the merchant's retention period, which is 90 days unless the merchant has set a different one.
FlashTeks connects to a merchant's own Instagram Business or Creator account for two separate purposes. Each is optional, starts only when the account holder clicks "Connect Instagram" and completes Instagram Business Login, and applies only to the account whose owner completed that login.
FlashTeks operates a website editor that our staff and merchants use to build and maintain a merchant's own marketing website. A merchant may choose to display their Instagram posts on that website. This uses the instagram_business_basic permission to read:
We store the Instagram user ID, the username and the access token, together with the token's expiry and the time of the last synchronisation. Post content is written into the merchant's own website files; we do not keep a separate archive of it.
A merchant may also enable the FlashTeks assistant on their Instagram account, so that customers who send the account a direct message receive an automated reply about opening hours, services and prices, and can book an appointment. This uses the instagram_business_basic permission to identify the connected account (its Instagram user ID and username) and the instagram_business_manage_messages permission to receive the messages customers send to that account and to send the assistant's replies. When a customer messages the account, we receive and store:
Every reply is an automated response to a message the customer just sent. We do not send promotional or unsolicited messages, and we never message anyone who has not messaged the account first. We do not read a customer's Instagram profile, their posts, or any conversation they have with anyone other than that account. Conversations are deleted automatically once they pass the merchant's retention period, which is 90 days unless the merchant has set a different one.
For both purposes: we do not publish, edit or delete posts, stories or reels; we do not read, post or moderate comments; we do not access any Instagram account other than the one whose owner completed the login; and we request no permission beyond the two named above.
Access tokens are renewed automatically so the merchant does not have to reconnect, and everything we hold about a connected Instagram account is deleted when the account holder disconnects it, withdraws access from Instagram, or asks us to remove it. See Data Deletion.
We do not sell, rent or share information obtained through these integrations with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Data is retained as long as required to provide Services or comply with legal obligations.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your information by contacting us. See Data Deletion for what we delete and how to ask.
